Can we talk about the best way to ask for a raise?
I was nervous about asking for more money at my job in Austin. For years, I just hinted at it, but nothing happened. Last month, I wrote down every project I finished and how much money it made the company, which came to about $15,000 in new business. I brought that list to my boss and asked for a 10% increase directly. It worked, and I got the raise. What's the most specific thing you've ever brought up when asking for more pay?

Nice! That's exactly how you do it. I brought in a printed list of all the extra tasks I'd taken on that weren't in my old job description (like training new people and running reports). I pointed out that my role had basically grown into a new one, and I asked for the pay to match. It felt scary to be that direct, but laying out the facts made it a business talk, not a personal one.

Bringing proof is key, it turns a feeling into a real case they have to answer.

Basically grown into a new one" is a big stretch. A few extra tasks doesn't always mean a whole new job title. Sometimes you just have to do more work.
