I was asking questions wrong this whole time and didn't realize it

I was trying to get help on a forum last week about fixing my bike chain. I posted 'Can someone help me?' and got zero replies for two days. Then I saw another post where someone wrote 'My bike chain keeps slipping on the 3rd gear, I've cleaned it and the derailleur looks aligned. What specific adjustment should I check next?' That post got five helpful answers in an hour. It hit me that my question was way too vague. How do you guys learn to ask better questions here?
