Why I stopped using 2-inch rollers for all my walls

For years I would just grab a 2-inch roller for every wall project, thinking it was fine. Then last summer I painted my living room in a 12x15 foot space and it took me THREE full days just to get the first coat done. A buddy at the paint shop told me to switch to a 9-inch roller with a thicker nap for texture walls. Now I finish a whole room in one afternoon easy. Has anyone else found that switching roller sizes made a bigger difference than switching paint brands?

Wait, did you also notice how much faster the clean up is with the bigger roller? I used to spend forever scrubbing those little 2-inchers and now it's like five minutes and done.

Right? I switched to a 9-inch and felt like an idiot for all those years hunched over a tiny roller like I was painting a dollhouse.
