I got called out for my star trail stacking method
I posted a shot of the Milky Way from my backyard in Flagstaff, and another user pointed out my star trails looked a bit messy. They said, 'Your alignment is off by about 15 pixels, it's making the trails look jagged.' I was just using the default settings in my stacking software. After that, I started manually checking the alignment points for each frame before stacking. The next batch I processed came out way smoother. Has anyone else had to tweak their stacking process after getting specific feedback like that?

Absolutely, that specific feedback is a game changer. I had a similar thing happen with a comet shot last year, where someone noticed my background stars were slightly elongated. They pointed out my tracking was fine but my stacking software was using a bad reference frame. I started manually picking the sharpest frame as the anchor, and it fixed the whole stack.
