Stacked 90 frames of Jupiter and now I doubt my own eyes

I used to think stacking was just internet hype. Like, people post these crisp shots of Jupiter and I figured they had a $5,000 telescope or magic software. Last week I tried free software with 90 frames from my 6 inch dob and a phone adapter. The difference between a single frame and the stack is unreal. Moons actually look like disks now, not dots. But now I'm wondering if I'm over-processing and faking detail that isn't there. Does anyone else feel like stacking crosses a line between photo and illustration? Or is it just capturing what's really up there?

Dude, same thing happened to me last month with my 8 inch and I honestly felt like I was cheating at first! But then I realized the stack is just pulling out what's actually there, like squinting at something far away until you finally see it clearly. You're not faking anything, you're just giving your eyes a hand.
