Watched a painter at a local shop lay down metallic flake like it was nothing
Stopped by Garcia’s Auto Body in Phoenix last Tuesday and this guy knocked out a seamless blend on a 2022 Ford Explorer hood without a single peel, has anyone else seen that kind of clean work and felt like you were way behind on your own skills?

Wait, was this guy working on a silver metallic or one of those darker blues? I had the same exact feeling last month when I watched a buddy lay down a candy apple red with gold flake on a '69 Camaro at his shop. Dude made it look so easy, barely any orange peel and the metallic laid down perfectly flat. I tried a similar job on my own project a week later and ended up with tiger stripes everywhere. It's humbling as hell watching someone who really knows their stuff make it look like breathing.
