Why I still prefer old school hammer and dolly over these fancy stud welders

Been at this trade since 1998 and I keep hearing guys swear by those electric dent pullers, but I've seen too many thin panels get stretched out by them. Last month a kid brought in a 2019 Civic with hail damage about the size of a dinner plate, I did it with a hammer and dolly in 40 minutes flat. Anyone else find that the old methods hold up better on high strength steel, or am I just set in my ways?
