I thought the old guy at the shop in Tulsa was nuts for torching my exhaust bolts, but they came out in 5 seconds
Had a 2004 Tacoma with rusted exhaust flanges and I was about to snap every bolt with a breaker bar, then he pulls out the Oxy torch and just heats them orange. Now I keep a torch on my box and I'm wondering what else I've been making harder on myself, what's your go to trick you used to doubt?

Heating rusted bolts is just old news though, every guy with a torch and half a brain does it. Kinda wild you needed someone to show you that on a 20 year old truck, but sure. Next you'll tell me penetrating oil and a little patience was some big secret too.
