I've been running a single rig out of Tulsa since March and just crossed 217 loads delivered, which is way more than I thought I'd manage in 8 months. Most of those were short hops between Oklahoma and Texas, so I always figured the number would stay modest, but the logbook says otherwise. Anyone else hit a yearly haul count that made them question whether they're pushing too hard or just getting efficient?
You tracking that number in miles too? Cause 217 hauls sounds high, but if you're running 150 mile runs, that's a whole different story than 500 mile hauls. I hit 190 last year in a similar setup and realized my average deadhead was creeping up, which meant I was working harder for the same pay. Try breaking down your count by total miles and hours per haul, then compare that to your fuel and maintenance costs. That'll tell you if you're actually being efficient or just burning yourself out for nothing, you know?
