Tried booking a car carrier from Dallas to Phoenix - took 2 weeks longer than they said

I needed to ship my old Tacoma from Dallas to Phoenix last month for a move. The broker I used said it would take 3-4 days to find a driver, but it ended up being almost 18 days before anyone picked it up. Apparently the route down I-20 isn't popular with carriers right now. Has anyone else had a shipment sit for that long without any updates from the broker?

18 days for a Dallas to Phoenix run? At that point I'd start wondering if your Tacoma was just touring the country on vacation while you waited. Sounds like that broker was about as useful as a screen door on a submarine, honestly. Did they at least give you some kind of discount or refund for the extra two weeks?
