Did a backup power swap on a commercial site in Dayton last month, and the battery post corrosion came back in under 3 weeks. I had used those rubber terminal boots, you know, the red and black ones that just slip over. Switched to marine grade adhesive heatshrink with the glue inside, sealed everything up tight, and it's been 6 weeks now with zero trace of that white crud. The boots trap moisture like crazy, the heatshrink actually bonds to the cable jacket. Anyone else ditched boots for heatshrink on their battery setups, or am I missing something about the boot method?

Battery tenders on stored cars, do you leave em hooked up or disconnect first?

I see guys at the storage lot in Columbus just clip a tender to the battery and leave the car doors closed, but if the car has any parasitic draw from an alarm or a module, that tender is basically fighting a losing battle and cooking the battery over months, so am I the only one who disconnects the negative terminal before plugging in the tender or is that just overkill?

Rant: Learning JavaScript with vanilla first vs jumping to React

I spent 6 months bouncing between React tutorials and getting nowhere. Then someone told me to drop all frameworks and just learn plain JavaScript for 3 months straight. Once I actually understood loops, arrays, and DOM manipulation without a library, React clicked in like 2 weeks. My first real project was a to-do list that took me 4 days with vanilla JS but only 1 day after I knew the basics. Why do so many beginner courses push React before you can even write a function from memory? Anyone else waste time trying to learn frameworks before the language itself?
