Hit exactly 500 flight hours on my bench testing yesterday
Was working through a backlog of comm radios and my logbook showed I passed 500 hours of bench testing time. That number surprised me because I only started this role 8 months ago in Phoenix. Anyone else keep a rough count of their bench hours or just me?

lol I don't track hours but I'm PRETTY sure I've spent at least 500 hours just digging through bins of old capacitors trying to find ONE value that matches a 1980s radio. It's like a treasure hunt where the treasure is a 22 picofarad cap and you find 300 other things you didn't need. My bench has become a museum of half finished projects and random screws I'm too scared to throw away because I KNOW I'll need them tomorrow.

500 hours of sitting at a bench doesn't sound like much of a milestone. Most people hit that watching Netflix on a slow Tuesday. Maybe you should aim for something more exciting than logging time on a test rig.
