Lost a whole Thursday to a bad pitot heat wire, then found it in 10 minutes on Friday
Thursday was rough. I spent most of the morning chasing an intermittent pitot heat flag on a King Air. I pulled panels, rang out the harness twice, and swapped the heat element on a hunch. Nothing. Friday I came back fresh, and a 10 minute wiggle test on the connector behind the left wing root found a loose pin. I felt pretty dumb. But it got me wondering how many of you walk away from a plane and come back the next day? I'm starting to think a fresh set of eyes beats another hour of stubbornness.
