inSpent 3 months using highlighters before I realized they were pointless
Did the exact same thing for way too long. I had like six colors going and spent more time picking which one to use than actually reading the stuff I was marking. Then one day I went back to review and couldn't remember why half of it was yellow vs pink vs green. Total waste. The only thing that ever helped me was writing short notes in the margin with my own words. That actually sticks because you have to think about it instead of just dragging a neon streak across the page.

inThat guy at Dragon Con showed me a trick with a heat gun and a wire brush that saved my foam sword edge
Heat guns warp foam faster than anything if you hold it in one spot. The trick is keeping it moving about 6 inches away and watching the shine go from dull to slightly wet looking. Once it gets that gloss you pull the heat off right away because that's the point where the cells are opening up. A damp towel works because it pulls heat out slow so the foam can relax back instead of snapping into a new shape. Metal file after is smart too, it cleans up the crusty bit the heat leaves behind. Sounds like that guy actually knew his stuff.

inWeek of biking to work in Austin changed my commute math
Used to think biking was way slower, but timing it changed my mind completely.
