I finally tried the Lost Coast Trail in California last month

The whole time I was walking that beach section in King Range, I kept noticing how many people were hauling way too much gear. I counted 3 different groups with full camp chairs strapped to their packs. Has anyone else seen this trend getting worse on coastal routes?
