Still annoyed at the guy at Wild Birds Unlimited who laughed at my feeder setup

Dude in the bird seed aisle literally said "you're gonna attract rats with that tray" about my platform feeder, like I hadn't been watching chickadees land on it for a month. Has anyone else gotten unsolicited feeder advice from strangers that just made you want to walk out?

Maybe it's just me but why do people think they're the bird police? Did he offer to come over and inspect your whole yard next?

Wait, the guy actually laughed at you in the store? That's wild. @riverowens is right about the bird police thing, some people just can't help themselves. Honestly, your feeder sounds fine if the birds are already using it.
