That one weekend my shed roof became a bird hotel
So last spring I was building a lean-to shed in my backyard in Portland, nothing fancy just a place for my mower and bikes. I framed the roof on a Friday after work, OSB sheathing and all, but I didn't have the shingles yet cause Home Depot was out of my color. Figured it could wait one night. Saturday morning I walk out and there's like four pigeons just chilling on the bare plywood, cooing and leaving droppings everywhere. I shooed them off, but they came back an hour later with a bunch of twigs and leaves, actually trying to nest in the corner. I spent the whole weekend rushing to get the drip edge and felt paper on so they'd stop landing there. I ended up grabbing a cheap roll of bird spikes from Amazon for under 15 bucks just to be safe until the shingles went up. Anyone else had animals turn a half done build into a mess?

Cracked me up reading this because you basically built a luxury pigeon condo without meaning to. Four birds and they already had twigs ready like they knew the vacancy was open. I bet they left you a bad Yelp review about the unfinished amenities too. Bird spikes for 15 bucks sound like a steal, way cheaper than a lawsuit from a pigeon homeowners association.
