Lost $75 on a 'sure thing' stock tip from a friend

My buddy convinced me to put money into some small tech stock he heard about. I put in $75, which is a lot for me, and the price dropped the next day. I felt pretty stupid until my wife reminded me we'd promised our son a trip to the zoo, so we went instead. Has anyone else turned a small financial loss into a better day by doing something simple?

Been there. Lost a hundred bucks on a crypto tip from a cousin. Felt awful until we used the grocery money we saved that week to get pizza and rent a movie. That night was way better than staring at a red chart. Sometimes the best move is to just close the app and go do something real with people you care about. The memory is worth more.
