Shoutout to the $60 dash cam I almost didn't buy

Last month I got sideswiped pulling out of a parking lot in Austin. Other driver claimed I ran a stop sign. I didn't. Cop asked if I had footage. Pulled up the cam I got on sale, 1080p, front and rear. Case closed in like 10 minutes. Insurance didn't fight it. That thing paid for itself 10 times over. Anyone else have a dash cam catch something that saved your butt?

Wait, do people actually get those dash cams setup properly or just stick em on the windshield and hope? I used to think they were a waste of money, like just another thing to break or drain your battery, but hearing this makes me want to grab one. Honestly, ten minutes to clear up a he-said-she-said accident sounds way better than the headache I'd get fighting insurance without it.

Do you need a pro to install them or something? I just stuck mine on the windshield, ran the wire along the top edge. Took like 15 minutes, works fine.
