The diner down on 5th burned my toast 3 times and it became my favorite spot
About 6 months ago I started going to a little 24 hour diner on 5th street after my shifts. First few visits were rough, my toast came out black twice and once they forgot my coffee order. I kept going back mostly because it was the only place open at 2am, but then the cook started remembering my order and sliding me a free slice of pie on rough nights. Now I'm there 3 times a week and honestly the burnt toast kind of grew on me, so what's the spot you almost gave up on that ended up sticking?
