Appreciation post: my friends hate that I skip the boring part of bad movies, but fast forwarding through the slow middle is the only way I get them to watch
Last Friday we ran Plan 9 from Outer Space and I jumped us past 20 minutes of filler talk, and the room went from phones out to everyone howling at the cardboard sets, so now I want to know if anyone else cuts the dead air or if you all sit through the whole thing every time.

Plan 9 is only 79 minutes. What'd you cut, the flying saucers?

Ha, right? Every time I watch it I'm like wait, that's it? The whole movie feels like it just gets going and then suddenly it's over. I had the same thing with Carnival of Souls, kept waiting for the big finale and then boom, credits. It's wild how some of these old B movies are barely over an hour and still feel rushed. You could honestly watch Plan 9 on your lunch break and still have time to spare lol.
