The way people say 'so bad it's good' for like any boring movie
I keep seeing folks call movies like 'The Room' or 'Birdemic' classics, but they miss what actually makes a bad movie fun. Last week my friend put on some random straight-to-streaming horror flick and kept laughing at nothing, but it wasn't intentionally bad or even funny, just dull. The difference is in the energy, like when the acting is so forced or the effects are so cheap you can't look away. I swear half these 'so bad' movies are just regular bad, not even entertaining. Am I wrong here or do people just not get what makes something fun to watch?

Christ, really? Your friend was laughing at a straight-to-streaming horror flick that was just boring? That's painful, man. There's a huge difference between a movie that's so broken it's art and one that's just flat and forgettable. The Room works because everyone in it is trying so hard, it's like watching a train wreck in slow motion. A boring movie with no energy is just a waste of time. People gotta learn the difference between 'bad but fun' and 'bad but dull as hell.'
