Watched Plan 9 From Outer Space with subtitles on and counted 14 flubbed lines I never caught before
My buddy Dale came over Saturday with a cheap projector he got at a garage sale, so we threw Plan 9 up on the garage wall with the captions turned on. I have seen that movie maybe 8 times and always laughed at the cardboard tombstones and the wobbly saucers, but the subs made me notice how often the actors say a line and then it just sits there with no reaction shot. The best one was when the inspector says the words "future events like these will affect you" and the caption spelled it "effect." Now I want to try this with The Room and see how many typos the subs have. Has anyone else watched a bad movie with captions and found stuff you missed?
