Spent $35 on a digital scale and it's a total game changer for my cookies
I used to just scoop flour with a cup and my cookies were always flat or too dry. My sister told me to get a scale, so I grabbed one for about $35. Now I weigh everything and my cookies come out perfect every time. But my friend says it's a waste of money and measuring cups are fine. Who's right, the scale crew or the cup crew?

Oh man, I was totally on team measuring cup for years. But flour compacts so much in a cup, it's never the same amount twice. A scale just takes the guesswork out and makes baking way more reliable.

Your friend thinks a scale is a waste after your cookies were flat?

@parker246 Wait, did your friend actually try weighing the flour or are they just guessing? My first batch of cookies was a total mess until I saw how much extra flour I was packing into a cup. A cheap kitchen scale fixed everything.
