Found a ceramic frog wearing a tiny top hat at Goodwill for 99 cents and now he runs my kitchen
Last Saturday I hit the Goodwill on the east side of town because they do a color tag sale and I had about forty minutes to kill. Digging through the shelf of random knick knacks, I pulled out this little ceramic frog, maybe four inches tall, painted green with a tiny black top hat glued to his head. The tag said 99 cents and it was half off that color, so I walked out paying 53 cents after tax. The lady at the register looked at it, looked at me, and just said "he's got a hat" like that explained everything. He now sits on my windowsill above the sink and I move him around the kitchen when nobody's home, so my roommate thinks he's losing his mind. My favorite part is that the hat is clearly from a different figurine, it doesn't match at all, which somehow makes him better. What's the weirdest cheap thing you've bought that ended up living in your house permanently?
