Why does nobody talk about how much the Dollar Tree garden seeds changed from March to July
I bought 4 packs of seeds at the Dollar Tree in March for a buck each, and by July the marigolds and basil were huge while the peppers and zinnias never came up at all. Same store, same rack, same price, but the seed packets from the early spring batch sprouted way better than the ones I grabbed in June. Is it a storage thing where they sit in a hot truck too long, or do the cheap seeds just have a shorter shelf life than people admit?
