Had to decide between a full packer brisket or just the flat for a 30-person family reunion. Went with the flat to save time and money, and it was a mistake.

My uncle did a 14-pound packer for our reunion last year. The point had way more flavor and kept the flat from drying out.

Man, that's the way to do it. @rivera.christopher, the point really does save the whole brisket. It's got all that fat that soaks right into the flat. Makes a huge difference for sure.
