PSA: My trusty old pedal wrench snapped on a busy Saturday, and the replacement just feels cheap.
It got me thinking about how tools used to last forever, but now they're built to fail.

Your story about the pedal wrench snapping hits home. My go-to socket set broke last year, and the new one felt flimsy. I looked for an older model online and found one. It cost more, but it feels solid and works well. Now I always try to find used tools from good brands. It's a shame how new tools don't last.

After my cheap spanner stripped, I searched garage sales for old Stanley tools. Picked up a 1970s model that's heavier and fits better. The metal feels dense, not hollow like new stuff. Still going strong after five years of abuse.
