Rant: chose the long way to work over the river shortcut and my legs are still mad
For the past month I've been riding the 5 mile river path into work instead of the 2 mile straight shot down Route 9 here in Albany. The short way has that one nasty hill by the water plant that eats me alive, so I picked flat and longer. Took 22 minutes this morning versus 15 on the hill route, but I showed up not sweating through my shirt for the first time since March. Anyone else pick distance over climb and feel weirdly good about it?
