TIL the 3 episode rule for anime is actually a real thing
I kept dropping shows after one episode because the start felt slow. My buddy in Seattle said to give any anime exactly 3 episodes before I quit. Tried it with 'Vinland Saga' last week and by episode 3 I was hooked for a full 24 episode binge. The first two were just setup, but the third one had that crazy fight scene that changed everything. What other shows have a slow start but get amazing after a few episodes?

Used to think it was dumb but it totally saved Steins,Gate for me.

What was the trick that made it click for you? I got stuck early on and almost quit, but then I just looked up a spoiler-free guide for the true ending. It made the whole thing way less confusing and actually fun to follow.

What was the big spoiler you looked up? @jade_bell I tried to go in totally blind and got stuck in a bad ending loop for hours. Using a guide felt like cheating at first, but it turned the whole thing from a chore into a great story. The phone trigger system is kind of a mess without help.
