Hit 14 slip joints in my drawer last night and I honestly don't know if that's a problem or a collection
I was cleaning out my knife drawer Sunday night and laid every one of them on the bed to count. Turned out I have 14 slip joints, which is 9 more than I would have guessed. Four were gifts, three came from a flea market in Asheville two summers ago, and the rest just kind of piled up one at a time. So here is the debate I keep having with myself. Is a collection something you pick on purpose, or is it just what happens when you like a thing and buy it slow? Half of me says if I can't name where each one came from and why I kept it, it's clutter. Other half says the good ones find you and the number doesn't matter. Where do you all draw the line between a collection and a pile?
