Swapped my vintage blazer buttons for bone ones and a guy at the flea market spotted it in 10 seconds
Last month I picked up a 1970s wool blazer at a Goodwill in Tacoma for $6, and the plastic buttons were cracked and dull. I swapped them for some polished bone buttons I had leftover from a handle project, took about 20 minutes with a needle and thread. A vendor at the flea market walked up to me Saturday, pointed at the cuff, and said "those aren't original, are they?" He was right, and I kind of liked that he noticed. Has anyone else mixed their hobby supplies like this, or am I the only one raiding my knife drawer for jacket parts?
