That talk with my uncle about his old Buck knife got me thinking
My uncle was over last Sunday fixing a hinge on my back porch and he pulled out this beat-up Buck 110 he's had since 1975. I asked why he didn't just get a new one and he said the blade's been sharpened so many times it's got a different profile than the original, but it fits his hand like a glove now. It hit me that I've been chasing new custom builds with fancy steels and never really broke one in. I got a similar older model sitting in a drawer that I only took out twice. Has anyone else had a tool that just got better after 20 years of use?
