Swapped my fiber disc for a flap wheel on a big tank job, zero regrets

Had to pick between a 4.5" fiber disc or a flap wheel for cleaning welds on a 40-foot tank in Gary last Friday. I went with the flap wheel after my foreman said it would lay flatter on the curved surface. Took me about 3 hours less than my usual grind time and the finish stayed consistent the whole way. Anyone else made that switch and never gone back?
