Tried a new weld prep method on some 2-inch carbon steel and the results were weird
We were doing a boiler repair job in Toledo last week and I decided to try a 30-degree bevel with a 1/8-inch land instead of my usual 37.5. The first two passes looked perfect, but by the third, I was getting way more undercut than normal. I had to slow my travel speed way down to fix it. Has anyone else had a specific bevel angle cause issues like that on thicker wall pipe?

Oh man, my buddy got a 22.5 last year. He still talks about how good it was, like it changed his whole view on burgers.
