PSA: the strangler fig choking that live oak in Audubon Park is not a pest, it's the whole point
Walked the loop in New Orleans on Tuesday and counted 14 people yanking fig vines off the oaks because they thought it was killing them, so can someone recommend a good field guide on hemiepiphytes so I can actually explain this to folks instead of just yelling at strangers?

How many of those 14 people did you actually stop and talk to, and did any of them change their mind once you explained it?
