inJust wasted $120 on a 'universal' power supply tester that fried a perfectly good board
My buddy's shop uses that same tester daily without issues. Could it have been a faulty unit or maybe a misread voltage setting?

inTIL those cheap Chinese brake pads from Amazon actually held up for a full season of riding in the Rockies, which completely changed my mind about them.
Totally get what you mean about the fear being overblown! I had the same worry with some no-name wheel bearings for my dirt bike. Put them on just to finish a trip, and they ended up lasting two whole years of hard trail riding. @williamt44 is onto something about us just repeating what we hear online. Sometimes you just get lucky with a good batch, and it feels like winning the lottery!

inPro tip: A painter in Spokane told me my seams were too proud
Ever notice how the best advice is always about fixing your blind spot? Like when a client told me I was over-trimming a specific type of maple, making it grow back weird. That one sentence saved me so much corrective work later. It's always the thing you don't even think to check that bites you.
