A retired finisher in Tucson told me I was overworking my edges

Nah, creasing edges is just good practice if you want it to last.

Remember when chemtrails were a joke to me? Then I looked up what's actually in the sky

Used to be the same way honestly. Figured it was just people seeing patterns where there weren't any. But then I started noticing those grid patterns myself on clear days and it kinda creeped me out. That NOAA thing you found is interesting because it proves they're actually spraying stuff, even if it's for "research." Makes you wonder what else is being kept quiet that we're all just breathing in.

My old Palm Pilot needed a new battery and it took me a whole weekend to find one that fit

Yeah I actually just read this article about the guy who spent like six months trying to find a specific capacitor for an old Game Boy. They had to go through maybe twenty different eBay sellers and even message people in Japan to track down a working one. It's wild how much effort goes into these things, but I get why people do it. There's something satisfying about bringing something back from the dead, you know? Like you're saving a little piece of history, even if it's just a plastic toy from the 90s. My cousin's into that whole vintage tech thing too, and he says the hunt is what keeps him going, not so much the actual playing after.

Swapped my old circular saw blade for a Diablo and cut time in half

Dude, same thing happened to me with my old saw. Swapped in a Diablo and it was night and day on some wet cedar I was cutting. Best money I spent all year on tools.

That expensive forge blower I bought blew hot air for 6 months then died...

Right there with you. Had an old Echo trimmer that just quit mid-job, wouldn't even budge. Took it to a small engine shop and the guy laughed - said it was a 7 dollar spring in the starter mechanism. Fixed it myself in ten minutes after watching a YouTube video. Felt like an idiot for almost buying a whole new trimmer. Half the time with these things it's something tiny and cheap, not a total breakdown.
