My neighbor saw me struggling with my phone in the sun and said 'just invert the colors, dummy'

Right?? And it's always the most random thing too, like "have you tried turning off 5G" or "restart it every three days". My brother once spent twenty minutes explaining how to clear the cache on my phone app by app like he was teaching me brain surgery. The smugness is insane when they show you a setting that literally says "Reduce White Point" like they invented it. You just know they went home and told their partner "oh I helped the neighbor today" like they solved a major crisis.

Had a random epiphany at a coffee shop game night last Friday

Must be nice being that organized. My games look like a tornado hit them.

A retired finisher in Tucson told me I was overworking my edges

Nah, creasing edges is just good practice if you want it to last.

Remember when chemtrails were a joke to me? Then I looked up what's actually in the sky

Used to be the same way honestly. Figured it was just people seeing patterns where there weren't any. But then I started noticing those grid patterns myself on clear days and it kinda creeped me out. That NOAA thing you found is interesting because it proves they're actually spraying stuff, even if it's for "research." Makes you wonder what else is being kept quiet that we're all just breathing in.

My old Palm Pilot needed a new battery and it took me a whole weekend to find one that fit

Yeah I actually just read this article about the guy who spent like six months trying to find a specific capacitor for an old Game Boy. They had to go through maybe twenty different eBay sellers and even message people in Japan to track down a working one. It's wild how much effort goes into these things, but I get why people do it. There's something satisfying about bringing something back from the dead, you know? Like you're saving a little piece of history, even if it's just a plastic toy from the 90s. My cousin's into that whole vintage tech thing too, and he says the hunt is what keeps him going, not so much the actual playing after.
