That Tuesday in Austin where the mortar set up in 20 minutes because the humidity was zero
I spent more time chipping out crusted mix from my hawk than actually laying brick, and the foreman just laughed and said welcome to Texas, has anyone else dealt with mortar going bad that fast in dry heat?

Read somewhere that adding a bit of lime to the mix helps keep it workable longer in dry heat.
