My sister told me I was ruining my chili by adding the beans too early
She said to wait until the last 10 minutes so they don't turn to mush. I tried it last Sunday and the texture was way better, plus I used a $1.50 can of kidney beans from Aldi. Anyone else have a simple trick that saved their meals?

Man I put mine in so early they basically dissolve into bean soup.

Yeah nah you gotta time those beans right. @miles825 I been there too with the bean soup situation. I throw mine in with about 15 minutes left on the simmer. Gives em enough time to soak up the flavor but they still have some bite. Also pat em dry with paper towels first. Helps stop them from turning into mush.
