My take on the 'one pot' meal trend after a month of trying it
I used to plan meals with a main dish and two sides, which meant three different pans and a lot of time. About a month ago, I switched to just making one big pot of something like lentil soup or a bean and rice mix. The main change was seeing my grocery bill drop by about 20 dollars a week, mostly from buying fewer different things. I think it works because you use up what you have instead of buying for specific recipes. Has anyone else found a simple switch that cut their food costs?

How bad was it, I'd have a whole sink full just from one meal...
