inThat cheap nonstick pan started flaking after 3 months
The real problem is those cheap pans aren't even aluminum underneath. They're stamped steel with a thin nonstick coating that can't handle thermal expansion. You heat up the pan and the metal expands at a different rate than the coating. Plus most discount store pans skip the bonding layer that helps the coating stick. I bet if you looked at the packaging it didn't even say "PFOA free" because they use the cheap stuff that degrades faster. Your best bet is a restaurant supply store pan, they're like $15 but made way better and last years.

inHit 500 welds on a single job today in Baton Rouge
Are you counting every single weld or just the main passes? Seems like that number would add up fast on a tank job.

inI finally cracked grandma's pie crust recipe after 4 tries
Calling it now - the vodka just evaporates and leaves nothing but a dry crust.

inTried watching an old 90s dub I loved as a kid
Wait, did they really cut all the original music out? I always figured the weird background tunes were just how the show sounded. I tried rewatching a few episodes a couple years back and that elevator synth stuff killed it for me too. The battle scenes felt flat without the dramatic music from japan. Looking back, I bet half the excitement as a kid came from those tunes pumping us up. Makes you wonder how much of our nostalgia is just built on stuff we didn't notice back then.

inTook my telescope out last Tuesday and a deer nearly knocked it over
You're acting like the deer pulled off some master plan to ruin your Saturn viewing. It's a deer. They're dumb and jumpy. Maybe don't set up your telescope right in the middle of their bedtime path and you won't have this problem.
