Saw a cool trick for cheap veggies at the farmer's market yesterday
I was at the downtown farmer's market and noticed a vendor had a whole box of 'ugly' peppers and tomatoes for a flat $3. They were perfectly fine, just odd shapes. I got enough for a huge pot of chili and a salad for the week. Do you guys have a go-to spot for cheap produce like that?

The Asian market on 5th Street always has a discount rack in the back. I got five pounds of slightly bruised apples there last week for two bucks. Made a killer apple crisp and still had some for snacking.

That's such a great find! Do you find that the 'ugly' veggie box is always there, or is it more of a last-hour thing before the market closes? I'd love to swing by next weekend if it's a regular deal.
