Question about packing cubes and my $45 mistake in Barcelona

I always thought packing cubes were a waste of money until I spent a frantic 20 minutes at a hostel in Barcelona digging for one shirt and realized I could have just unzipped a single cube instead of dumping my whole bag.

Oh man, I feel that. I started using different colored cubes for each type of thing. Blue for shirts, grey for pants, stuff like that. It sounds simple but it saves my sanity when I'm tired and just need one specific item fast.

That frantic hostel search is the worst. I did the same thing in Rome last year, looking for my charger.
