inA vendor in Austin told me to ditch the generator and go solar
Oh man, I made that exact switch last spring for my popup taco stand. The upfront cost stung a bit, but my monthly electric bill dropped about $180 once I got the panels dialed in. Just make sure you size your battery bank right or you'll be cursing on cloudy days.

inStop using Teflon tape on every pipe thread like it's magic fix
Three times this week alone I have experienced this, @marywells. It's like a new law of the universe or something.

inFlipping through a run vs reading a collected edition - which is better for getting into a character?
I started with the 2014 Moon Knight run in single issues and the backmatter like the letter columns and sketch pages made me feel closer to the character. But once I grabbed the collected hardcover, I noticed plot points I missed because I was flipping through ads every few pages. The floppies give you the vibe, but the trade gives you the story.

inWhy does nobody talk about how blow drying with a round brush vs a paddle brush is totally different
Rayc, you're right but $12 is a stretch for a good round brush. Mine was $8 at the drugstore and it fell apart after three months. Got a proper ceramic one for $20 and it actually lasts. They're not all the same, the cheap ones with the plastic bristles just snag and pull.

inTIL my Ikea desk sagged in the middle after 8 months with a 27-inch monitor on it
Had a lamp on mine for 6 months. Came home one day, lamp was on the floor. Desk looked like a slide. Now I've got a stack of thick textbooks holding up the middle. Looks ridiculous. But hey, at least my monitor isn't trying to assassinate my keyboard anymore.
