Cashed out my $2,100 emergency fund last month for a new laptop and now I'm stuck debating if that was dumb or smart
My old laptop died on a Tuesday morning in the middle of a work deadline, so I pulled $2,100 from the emergency fund I built up over 14 months and bought a replacement that same day. Half of me says that's exactly what the fund is for, the other half says I should've toughed it out on my phone for a couple weeks and shopped around. Where do you all draw the line on what counts as a real emergency?
