Rant: my no-buy month got sabotaged by a free iced coffee

Tbh I was crushing it on my $0 fun budget for 14 days straight, then my coworker Pam handed me a loyalty card with 5 free drinks on it and I caved at the drive thru. She said "it's free, it's not a budget win" but now I'm $6.50 deep on a caramel monstrosity and debating if I should count it as a win or a loss. Has anyone else had a freebie from someone else totally wreck their spending streak?
