Warning: Buying the big jug of laundry soap was a mistake for my budget

I had $40 left for two weeks of stuff and had to pick between the giant 150 oz jug or the $6 small one, and I picked the giant one thinking I was being smart. It's been sitting half used for 4 months because I hate hauling it to the laundromat, so I basically paid $18 for a doorstop. Anyone else buy bulk and then regret it because the size itself became a hassle?
