Spent $45 on a fountain pen for my journal and it ruined my handwriting for a month
I finally caved and bought a TWSBI Eco for about $45 at a shop in Austin because everyone in the journal groups kept saying fountain pens make your pages look better. The first two weeks were a mess, I was pressing way too hard like with my old ballpoint and the ink bled through three pages of my $18 dotted notebook. Then I switched to a lighter hand and now my daily logs look cleaner than they ever did with a cheap gel pen. The real cost was the notebook, I had to rebuy the same brand twice before I figured out the paper weight mattered more than the pen. I mean it did burn me at first but now I get why people get weird about this stuff. Did anyone else have to change how they write when they switched pens, or is that just a me problem?
