I mean, idk, maybe it's just me but I've seen a lot of butchers switching to pegboard walls for tool storage lately.

Actually, I've seen the total opposite around here... the good shops are all moving away from pegboards. They look messy after a while, with hooks always coming loose. All the serious butchers I know use stainless steel rail systems now. Everything has a specific spot, it's way easier to clean, and it just looks more professional. Pegboards feel like a garage solution, not for a real working shop.

Yeah, that trend @the_cameron mentioned lines up with what I see everywhere now. Professional tools trickle down to home use after a while. Like how every home kitchen has those restaurant supply squeeze bottles now. Pegboards got popular in garages first, then everyone wanted that look.

Totally get what @the_cameron means about pegboards looking messy. My garage setup proves it, with tools always ending up on the bench instead of the wall. That stainless rail system does sound way smarter for keeping things clean.
