Found out why fake reviews on Amazon kept fooling me for months
I was looking at a portable charger with 4,000 five-star ratings and bought it. It died after 3 weeks. Then I checked the reviews of a similar Anker model and used a site called Fakespot. The difference was night and day - the first one had 80% suspicious reviews, the Anker had less than 5%. Has anyone else used a review checker tool and found the same scam pattern?

Sounds like a lot of work for a cheap charger.

$60 for a charger and then you find out you gotta buy a special cable for $20 more? That's ridiculous. I bought a cheap one from a gas station once and it melted the plastic around the port. Not worth the hassle to save 10 bucks when you're already spending that much. How long did it take you to figure out you needed the extra cable?
